Riyadh Highlights BMW Group Electric Vehicles With EVIQ
Riyadh recently hosted a public showcase that underscored the growing momentum behind BMW’s electric vehicles in Saudi Arabia. The event took place at the King Abdullah Financial District and was organised by Mohammed Yousuf Naghi Motors in collaboration with BMW Group and EVIQ.
Held from 23 to 25 December 2025, the activation focused on public engagement. It aimed to explain electric driving in simple terms and show how premium electric cars can fit into everyday life in the Kingdom.
BMW Models Showcased Real-World Electric Performance
Two fully electric models formed the centrepiece of the event. These were the MINI Aceman and the BMW i5. Together, they demonstrated how BMW electric vehicles can serve a range of lifestyles and driving needs.
The MINI Aceman was presented as a compact crossover suited for urban mobility. It offers a driving range of 295-400 km per charge, depending on the specification. This makes it a practical option for daily commuting.
The BMW i5 highlighted the brand’s premium electric offering. It delivers a range of 496-592 km per charge. Its battery is integrated into the car’s lower structure, supporting balance, comfort, and driving efficiency.
Charging Infrastructure Supported the Vehicle Narrative
Infrastructure played a central role throughout the showcase. EVIQ, the electric vehicle infrastructure company backed by the Public Investment Fund and the Saudi Electricity Company, highlighted its mission to build a nationwide charging network.
This focus underscored the broader ecosystem that supports BMW’s electric vehicles. Reliable charging access remains a key factor in accelerating adoption and increasing consumer confidence.
Industry Messaging Focused On Accessibility
During the event, organisers stressed the importance of simplifying the process of acquiring electric ownership. Visitors were encouraged to ask questions and understand ownership requirements. This approach positioned BMW electric vehicles as practical and achievable rather than experimental.
The showcase also reflected wider efforts to normalise electric driving across the Saudi market.
Conclusion
By combining premium electric models with visible infrastructure support, the Riyadh event highlighted tangible progress in the Kingdom’s mobility transition. It showed how collaboration across sectors is helping bring BMW electric vehicles closer to mainstream adoption, marking another step forward in Saudi Arabia’s evolving transport landscape.
